Outreach services under the Ryan White program have been around since the late 1980s, starting with efforts to raise awareness and promote HIV testing. Over time, they've expanded to reach more marginalized communities, using mobile testing units and peer-led initiatives to connect people living with HIV (PLHIV) to essential care and support.
There is a lot of overlap from other service categories like Early Intervention Services (EIS) and the Case Management Continuum (CMC). COHAS is also working toward better outreach, in partnership with prevention programs. That said, it has not been identified as a need that isn’t already being addressed.
