Program Overview

Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) is vital for many people living with HIV (PLHIV) who struggle to pay for essentials like utilities and phone bills. Right now, these needs are especially high. Ryan White Part B (managed by CDPHE) helps a lot with dedicating funding for these services because the need has grown so much.

DHR Commentary

We recognize the critical importance of providing the community with access to emergency financial assistance. The priority and allocation have remained consistent largely due to CDPHE/Part B supplementing funding, which has been the key reason we've been able to maintain the current allocation amount. This also tends to be one of the same service categories we have reallocated funding toward because we know it will be used.
